I have never had the Reservoir, though I am familiar with it. Is it the Bourbon, the Wheat Whiskey, or their Rye Whiskey that you tried?
Also, I see the conversation below about the ice. I too am a fan of the melting of real ice, especially in any whiskey (whisky). I do however appreciate the novelty of those metal cubes. I am sure they serve their purpose AND they are certainly a conversation piece!

@tedvilla I was wondering the same thing. I've seen the stones never these metal cubes but I've always been curious about them. I tend to use the large 2.5 inch ice cubes because they keep everything cold and allow for a very slow melt.

Whats your opinion on the metal cubes? Ive got stone cubes. They are made of soap stone and dont scratch the glass. But im not really a fan. I like the cube to melt. It cuts the drink and mellows it and the water helps it open up. The stone cubes,and im betting the metal cubes, dont offer this transformative aspect. also, i didnt find the stones made that much of an impact in terms of cooling the drink. On a related note, i also never freeze my booze. Some melting is expected in mixing and it helps to improve the flavor, I think.
