Ingredients needed to make a Tipperary

2 parts Sloe Gin
1 part Dry Vermouth
1 tsp Lemon Juice

Tipperary Cocktail Recipe Directions

Pour Sloe gin, vermouth, and lemon juice over ice and shake briefly. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. A lime or lemon twist is a fine garnish.

Bartender's Notes

I used Noilly Prat Dry French Vermouth and Bitter-Truth Sloeberry Blue Gin in this pre-WWI cocktail recipe. There are other "Tipperary" cocktails out there, but this is the original.

I uploaded a Latin Quarter recently that uses Bitter Truth's Xocolatl Mole Bitters. They are outstanding.

I have not seen or tried their bitters. I certainly would though. I am happy with the great variety that Fee Bros. brings to the industry. I'm sure it's only a matter of time until someone here on SMD uploads a cocktail with Bitter Truth bitters in it. Maybe a new member in Germany?!

Interesting. I looked up sloe gin b/c I am not overly familiar with it. There are really things called sloe berries. When searching sloe gin the bitter truth came up high in google. They are based in Germany and their specialty is bitters. Have you tried them? Do you know where i might find them if so? Great post.
