Pisco Sour

Ingredients needed to make a Pisco Sour

1 Fresh Lemon, Squeezed (no pits please)
4-5cl of Pisco (Chilean Brandy)
1 Sugar Cube (optional)

Pisco Sour Cocktail Recipe Directions

Mix all together! Garnish with fresh lemon wedge

JRCXNY's Notes

A bit too tart for me... not big on Chilean Brandy either, its lighter, but distilled from grapes, which is basically what brandy is... gotta try everything at least once, at least the bottle looks cool in my bar!

Yes, agave is very in for cocktails and much sweeter and smoother without the sugar level (don't ask me how)... but it is expensive, Whole Foods sells it for $6. Of course a bottle of that will last a long time, probably longer than sugar.

I love the Easter Island Moai. The Pisco Sour is a fantastic cocktail. It's a great Side-Car variant. Great drink. I concur about the agave nectar to smooth it out.

I heard about the egg white, no eggs in the house plus everything seems to be contaminated with salmonella these days so I skipped that part. No worries I am already on to other cocktails to experiment with :)

I also found the Pisco Sour to be a bit too sour. I've adjusted my recipe (http://seemydrink.com/drinks/view/pisco-sour) and am now using Agave Nectar for my sweetener. I also add and egg white for texture and frothiness. My bottle is far less cool than the one you have.
