I'll dip the rim in tequila then eat the glass.
@forrestfrazier great tip, for whatever reason I've never thought of that... I've dipped glass rims into mixed blender batches but never done a little saucer w/Tequila. Thanks, I'll try it next batch.
Pro Tip: if you are going to use salt, dip the rim in tequila and let air dry for 10 seconds prior to salting. The sugars of the tequila adhere the salt much better than water or lime juice.
@JakJericho Cointreau is so much smoother than Triple Sec (Grand Marnier is nice too). Salt on a 'rita, always though ;). However, if sipping a higher end Tequila, like you've got in your drinks from about 3 weeks ago, I totally agree -- no salt.
Big fan of Cointreau over Triple Sec, though not a fan of the salt.
The idea of a salty margarita just made my mouth water! I'm interested to try Forrest's avocado version, though.
@forrest that sounds great, I can't wait to see the recipe and give it a go.
I couldn't agree more. I heard of and found an interesting Avacado Margarita recipe. Going to try it and share with SMD.
