Innis and Gunn Rum Cask aged Scottish beer

Ingredients needed to make a Innis and Gunn Rum Cask aged Scottish beer

Scottish beer aged for 30 days in American oak casks, then 30 days in navy rum casks.

Innis and Gunn Rum Cask aged Scottish beer Cocktail Recipe Directions

Apparently, pour into an old-fashioned glass, as that's how it was served at The Haven Scottish pub/restaurant in Jamaica Plain.

winocat's Notes

Curiously dark red/brown, yet rather light-bodied, malty, spicy, rum-kissed, bonnie Scottish brew.

This stuff is the real deal! It is popular in New York. You can actually buy it in liquor stores there. I have to check out that restaurant.

Innis and Gunn also make a lovely, clear, caramel colored bourbon cask aged beer. The bourbon essence is more distinct than that of the rum. I would have submitted it, as I preferred it, but the pic I took of it was blurry.
